I am an IT geek specialising in ecommerce and web content management.

I began my career as a developer with a consistent focus on open source and eCommerce technology. I spent over six years with Red Hat, the world’s most recognised open source brand, where I played a key role in delivering technical consultancy and developing enterprise accounts in the UK and Northern Europe. In more recent engagements I have provided IT direction to a number of start-up internet based businesses building new products and services which brings the kind of challenges that I really enjoy.
I still write code on my fairly reliable MacBook using vi (old habits die hard), but usually TextMate, XAMMP, svn or git, and hosting on Linux (Ubuntu or Red Hat). Most of my time however is spent using spreadsheets and project tools, either analysing datasets or business models and coordinating development teams.
I recently moved to Cape Town as CTO of TAKE2, a fantastic ecommerce site that currently targets the South African market.
